Can anyone name this peony that is blooming in my garden? I thought it might be 'Mikado,' but I can't remember, for sure. What are the names of some peonies similar to 'Mikado?' I believe it came from Wayside Gardens about 7 years ago, a gift from a friend. I also have Sarah Bernhardt, Karl Rosenfield, General Douglas MacArthur, and Festiva Maxima, all part of a collection of peonies from Wayside.

I love peonies, but around here, they don't last very long at all. It seems every year just as they get in full bloom, we get a toad-drowning rain and the flowers just flop down in the mud, or rot in place. I dug all mine up and gave them away, one year, out of frustration. :barnie

No, I did not, Smart Red. Your tree peony is so pretty. I couldn't find a peony like mine at that site you shared, and Wayside Gardens doesn't know... They thought it was the wrong shade for 'Mikado.' They suggested 'Karl Rosenfield,' but it doesn't look like what I think is my 'Karl Rosenfield:'
