I bought a tropical plant at loblaws (grocery store) the other day for 2 dollars. It looks really pretty but it does not have a name. I was hoping maybe someone here can help identify it for me.

I will post a picture in another post if it allows me :(

never mind because I can't post anything.

You need to have several posts before you can post a pic. It's to weed out spammers. Just comment on a few posts and you'll have enough. And welcome to TEG!

Hay! Let's all see if we can guess what it is with only the few clues given!

:frow

It is available in a local or regional grocery store somewhere where they type in regular North American English.
It is a tropical plant.
It only cost 2 clams.
It's really pretty.

:) Welcome to the forum Sara213!

:welcome

My guess is it is in the African Violet family, a Gesneriadaceae.

Possibly a Croton ? Or some type of succulent ? Anything could be marked down to $2 for clearance.

Any ideas what this is. We live in North Central Florida.

Since the board won't let me post images or links, I have posted pictures on My Page.
