So I've used Photobucket for quite a few years now and am now interested in moving away from them, so I'm curious what all of you are using to store & organize your photos of plants, family and everything else. I've been experimenting with Irista, which is owned by Canon, a little bit and like what it has to offer

Here's a brief list of what I'm looking for. I'm not looking for a free service
1) Storage (GBs and GBs of space)
2) Albums - ability to organize photos into albums (sub-albums would be sweet!)
3) Photo tagging - ability to apply tags to photos to easily search across later
4) Format - I want to be able to upload Raw images

So, what are you using and love or what have you used in the past that you disliked?

Why not just store on a thumb drive? Memory is cheap.

First off I have to admit I am computer challenged :hide. I store all my photos on my computer. The application is called iphoto on an apple, here I have separated my photos into albums, family, favorites, beans etc. When I want to post a picture on this forum I drag it onto my desktop and then into my message, here I have the option of full size or thumbnail, easy peasy. Dh backs everything on my computer twice a day to different sources just in case....

First off, I will be curious what you decide to do. I have just a few things that I put on sites like Snapfish and Shutterfly, years ago, mostly just to open an account. I access them now and then.

Picasa was my photo editing software that I still have and use but Google broke TEG thread links frustrating forum use of their gallery. Now, Photobucket has really derailed use after dozens of my image links from TEG posts. So far, access through their app is still possible for me to download pictures I have there. Online, the site is impossible! I felt like they just jerked the rug right out from under me. A separate hard drive for DW's photos and videos will probably be a gift for Christmas.

I tried Picasa a bit a year or two ago but something told me it wouldn't last. I frankly love Photobucket except for tagging capabilities and Raw image upload. Their album stuff is great except for when you're trying to navigate it via mobile and you have albums over 6 chars long.
