When is it too late to plant?

I live in alameda CA where to me it is sunny and warm all year long. I am just getting a house now. When is it too late to plant for herbs? Can I plant now and have them come up over the next few months or is it too late and they are going to die?

You can plant any herbs pretty much year round. Take a look at nurseries to see what they have.

living in California I woud say just do it any time!!! but watch out you'll get hooked...everything tastes so much better home grown...
