Which nurseries do you like best?

I am looking for a good nursery to buy fruit trees and bushes from. I had been planning on buying from Raintree Nursery, as I had heard good things about them a few years back, but I have only read negative reviews about them recently.

Sooo... I'm looking for some relatively unusual trees, who would you guys recommend?

I would try one of your local nursery first one your neighbors use and recomend... they may be able to find you the tree you are looking for or call your local extention service they will give you a list of nurseries in your area...

Definitely try local... but I used the ArborDay.org website. I joined them as a christmas present to myself.

They are localed in NE so you would get them almost locally!?

Now is there shipping time for spring, so you'd need to get an order in before the end of the month or they make you wait until fall.

I am going to go local also. These may have mostly generic plants but they should be plants that can grow successfully in your area.

Thanks, I have already gone to the local sources and the extension agent, who recommended going through a mail order company.

Has anybody bought from Stark Bros? They are only a state away, so I thought shipping might not be too hard on the plants.
