Yesterday I had my guys take old generator out of shed. I bought a bigger one off a friend. Was going to take old one home to use there. Not sure if rats or squirrels chewed up wiring :barnie:he I know they can not mistake electrical wire for food. There is a whole woods filled with trees if they need to sharpen their teeth. What makes wire appealing to rodents ?

Mice are the worst. I've seen them ruin farm equipment.

Newer cars have wiring harnesses that are coated with a soy-based insulation. In an effort to get away from oil and non-renewables, no one thought about the fact that rodents might love it. There are several class-action lawsuits ongoing.

Rodents chew oil soaked pre-1960 wiring just as fast as new wiring. Rodents just love to chew wiring like dogs like to sniff butts

Once again, lawyers at their finest--NOT!
