I think we have a wild grape vine in the back corner of our property. Looks like grapes, has tiny grapes starting on it I guess. Does anyone else have any? I'll take some pictures later.

I was wondering the same thing! We have vines mixed with our honeysuckle... they LOOK like tiny grapes... but the leaves are much smaller than my domestic grapes.

You might want to Google "Muscadine Grape Leaves". That would be my guess as to what you have, but a bird could have dropped any grape seed.

Ah yes, Muscadine grapes. I think they are native here in SC..or they grow very well here at least. I was thinking a bird dropped a seed..but it is a rambling vine and sending shoots up all over the place. I spotted it last year, but there was no grapes on it...I don't remember which month either.

We have tons of them here. Of course, they are all tangled up with the poison oak, so they're a little hard to get to. I'm thinking of taking some cuttings and growing them where they're actually accessible.

Yes, I have lots of them. Generally, they don't make nice "bunches" of grapes. Last year, must have been the perfect weather for them- and they really were prolific and large. If that happens again this year, I am going to harvest them and use them for wine, or juice or something! I have always let mine grow, since the birds like them- and I encourage most anything that will cover a fence!
