I use Firefox for my web browser. I have used it fr many years but I must have recently upgraded and forgot to select or un-select an option to download a Yahoo version of Firefox 37.0.1 because all of a sudden my search engine is Yahoo Search as a default. There are other Yahoo related changes in this new release that I don't like.

Can someone tell me how to go back to the un-Yahoo version without loosing any of my stuff? I used to be a whiz with all things computer related but I have gotten away from it for several years. Thanks, Jr.

I'm sure one of the "younger" folks on here can tell you. Me, I know very little about computers.

The ID/WA! Kid here ...

Is it my understanding that you have now waited over 24hrs for help, @Smiles Jr. ?

I know as little as possible about these things ... In your Firefox browser, you should have 3 bars near the upper right corner. If you hover your cursor over them, you should have the option to click that to open and then open "Options."

That should give you a choice of home pages. You can also click "Search" amongst those options and choose multiple search, uh, options.

If you are talking about something smaller than a PC, things may be different. To start, the 3 bars may be 3 dots. These browsers adapt to screen size so bars give way to dots. Then, umm, options may be limited, too.

The best way, as with most anything, is to have the patience to play with it awhile. Leave it alone until later when patience begin to run out. Remember, it's usually only when we get ticked off that the chances of breaking something exceed the chances for discovery.
