I'm sure this has been covered a zillion times before.. but please endulge me.

I planted stawberries in my lasagna beds last year. They did not make many stawberries and out of 6 plants only 3 survived the winter... But this year they are huge and have lots of blossems but the leaves are all yellow.

Also my husband dumped an bunch of green grass clippings on the bed. they are laying on top. Should I remove them?

I have given them lots of manure and then last week I added magnesium suflate also... still yellow. Am I too impatient or is there something else I should do?

Could be the hot grass clippings. I always like to let them lay in the sun until they're good and dry before I mulch with them. Sometimes they get gooey and moldy too when they're fresh. They can burn the plants. Also could be the manure is still a bit hot. There is also one strawberry disease that causes yellow leaves, but it's not very common.

I agree about the grass clippings, they also rob nutrients while breaking down..
