Ive been going to PT for 6 weeks now. I KNOW that they are really helping my shoulder issue (torn rotator cuff, and encapusulated something something). Its a miracle what they have been teaching me to do to make my shoulder much better.

If you're not happy with the PT you're going to, try another one. I DID! I fired that B**** that owns the other one in town, when I was going to her for my shattered and rebuilt knee cap. She was NO help and made my treatments worse. And she used the elec stimulation and made my knee burn and be on fire for a week. I had to go to Prompt care to ask what they could do for her abuse to my knee.

Definitely change PT's if you're not happy with them. My first one was a quack. She never touched my shoulder. Only had me do exercises in front of her. Well heck, my coaches could have done that. Second one was GREAT. I would walk in barely able to move my arm and would leaving able to do complete circles with it with no pain. She would just very gently work with my arm and shoulder for about an hour. I loved going to her. It was a time to relax.

I used to lay back on the table and they would strap my shoulders down. More straps went on my ankles and they would hand me the "panic button." The machine at my ankles would slowly begin pulling! Release ... pull ... release a little ... Pull harder ...

I'd look up at the ceiling and there was a big, purple dinosaur ..

I never once punched that panic button :). I'd come off that table feeling like I'd dropped 50# of weight off my back! Oh, that was great ...

Gravity. I don't think the answer is equal time walking on our hands, but it would help. Better, just shoot me into space ...

I make "to die for" chicken gravy. (Secret is to use the blender to grind up the cooked liver, then blend with milk and flour.) Hard to use the leftovers, so I either serve it over toast or biscuits.
Most of the time everybody else, when we lived with 5 in the house, would say, "HEY! whatcha eating?" DH would usually say, "Forget it." But usually it's gone by the time anybody else who wanted it has asked.
I also cook up LOTS of leftovers from dinner last night with eggs in the morning, like spinach or other vegetables. Pretty much everything tastes good with it, especially with some salsa. :drool

We are very pleased with DH's PT. He went there for PT after his heart surgery and now we're back! He still has to have shoulder replacement, but wants to enjoy the summer without surgery or PT.

Steve, your story reminded me of a similar pt session that I had many years ago. I was on this table where they were trying to stretch my neck so I had an apparatus on my head. They told me not to move. So what did I do? I moved! Well that darn thing stretched me where My back was off the table and I was yelling for someone to come to my rescue. :ep
