Giving Advice To A Child

A client came in with her daughter Kathy. Kathy is a sweet well mannered child I like a lot. I could tell she was in a mood today and asked her what was wrong. She burst out she hated her hair, no one in her school had red hair but her, she was teased about it. Things sometimes just come out of my mouth with no thought given. I said give it 10 years your love your hair, men go wild over redheads you will have more dates then anyone making fun of you now. Kathy said really ? of course woman spend a fortune coloring their hair your color. Kathy seemed happy now, I glanced at her mother who had a look on her face. She then said thank you for cheering her up, I don't know if thats the route I go with a 10 year old. Oops sorry not many 10 year olds running in my circule

Excellent burst of passion about her hair! I always admire red heads, esp auburn. (says the old lady with mousy brown thinning hair). One of my cattle dogs has gorgeous red hair...er fur...

When my hair turned white at age 34, I quit dying it brown and colored it red. I was a redhead for 20 years until I finally let it grow out, now it is silvery pure white. As a red head, I could cop an attitude and get away with it. It was great! That little girl is SO fortunate!
