Then you ain't doing it right. Call me a nasty name, I'll double it up and sling it right back. I am especially adept at hurling insults with no curse words, with a sweet smile that says I'm your best friend, and that leaves the target confused on whether they just received a compliment or insult.

That seems to be a very southern skill set. Once my boys told me they never saw anyone be able to tell someone they were an idiot as sweetly as I could and the people still leave smiling, as if they were given a compliment.
