Crop rotation

Trying to come up with a 4'X8' three bed crop rotation plan, by plant family for next spring

Bed 1:
peas
green beans

Bed 2:
cabage
collard greens
Lettuce

Bed 3:
Onions
garlic
Carrots

I'm leaving the fruit crop out of rotation for now because only have three beds.
My tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers Im growing in grow bags for now.
My tomatoes need some afternoon shade because of the heat, so keeping fruit out raised bed.

Just wondering if I have the right idea starting out.

with crop rotations it helps to think of different plant families and to replant your following crops with different plant family plants than you had there before.

in the spot where you have planned for doing peas you may be able to do a following crop of radishes, beans or other quick growing plants or if anything a ground cover (turnips and daikon radishes are both often useful for that purpose).

That was my plan follow the peas with green beans. I have three beds, one, two, three. There is a different plant family in each bed. The three plant families will rotate clockwise from bed to bed each year, if thats what you're talking about.

Have you considered using pots for vegetables that you don't need very many of, like zucchini?
IF that is the ONLY squash you grow that will be your 2025 rotation.

Not sure if I'm following what you're saying about the 2025 rotation, but I do grow cucumbers in pots as don't need many.
