Anyone else thinking about adding a greenhouse this spring?

My tiny little greenhouse is 16’x8’. Heated with thermostats and several air vents. You’d be surprised how much stuff I could grow in that with 3 layers of shelving, grow lights for both flowering plants and greens. I was always happy with the size never really wanted to find myself overwhelmed...

What Did You Do In The Garden?

It’s a hour or so drive and the freeway is always tricky especially in rough weather. Maybe in summer when the weather is better and the entire pasture is chalked full of dandies and free for the Pickens. Your welcome anytime… Tea is a must.. margarita dandie tea…. mmmm 😋.

Yes dandies make wonderful garnishes for a tad of spice for salads. When I was in hort school I had a whole list of etible weeds…( I think I have acres of every one of ‘em ). Dandelion wine anyone ? Or even pickle dandies . But I digress… Dahlia , You know your only a hop skip and a jump away...

2026, My year of Garden Narcissism

Actually I only use mushroom compost in my garden , it’s particularly good for improving soil structure, increasing water retention, and boosting organic matter. Also good to use to top off trees and shrubs occasionally. I have it delivered from a mushroom farm then use the front bucket on the...

Alrighty then ducks you got it all lined up and sharpening tools ta boot. I use an attachment on the battery op drill to sharpen most of my tools. But ya know those chains on the battery op chain saw are tricky to sharpen .. generally it’s easier for me to just order a new one . After years of...

2026, My year of Garden Narcissism

What an interesting technique to refurbish an out building. A ‘Artist’ at work’. What a beautiful outcome. Lot’s of ideas in that vid . Maybe… just maybe it will increase my incentive to repair an old shed that has seen better days.

    Restarting the garden

We’ll join the group … as I am only speaking for myself… math -square yardage is a lot easier today. I simply go on line and ask Suri… I know it’s a big cheat … at this stage of the game I’m all for it… 🤩

What Did You Do In The Garden?

The PNW is still in the middle of a winter blast. Rain, snow, hail, wind… where it stop nobody knows… trees are down , power outages in the entire region . When the sun ..that’s referred to as a UFO in this region pops out I race out and check for damage. So far so good. All is starting to quiet...
