You have been buying Snake River Seed Coop seed, @Branching Out ?

Oddly, I have not. I have looked at their seed racks each Spring for the last several years. Always the same responses from Steve, "Well, that doesn't look familiar. No, not familiar ... not familiar ... not familiar."

I guess it's only been a few years — maybe I'll get with it. So normal for me to always be risk-averse and dodging around chances of failure.

I think mine were sourced from Annapolis Seeds, who offer them for $4CAD (which is about $2.80USD). However I checked out Snake River and theirs are $7USD. What a shocking difference in price. 😯

I checked out Snake River
Boise headquartered Snake River has it at $4.79 on my browser. I think they must be expecting more from the Canadian customer by a lot!

Oregon's Adaptive Seed also carries that squash seed. They refer to an Idaho origin ... meanwhile, Steve grows Winter squash varieties from ... Japan ;).

It's 43⁰f (6⁰C) 17mph wind (and gusts above 40 predicted) and it's raining. The 1 ½ inches of Monday snow are gone,  gone.

The radar map is a mess with more rain predicted for the weekend.

I have not been here for awhile. I have been busy with selling and sewing things on Etsy. I can feel the Christmas shopping season ending and my money. lol I am actually glad. I was starting to get stressed from it all. We have had only a little bit of snow that melted fast. We were almost 5o degrees yesterday. It will be in the 40s all week. The rabbit likes it. I have not had time to look at seed catalogs, but I am getting ready to. I am not sure DD is going to be able to plant. She probably can if her husband will get her boxes ready. The babies will be born the end of April unless she has them early. She found out a couple of weeks ago they are both girls, so I will have 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson. People feel sorry for him, but I don't. He is the kind of the roost. I have all my shopping done, but now I have to wrap. We will have a house full on Christmas. There will be DS and his new wife, DD and husband and 3 kids, my brother and my daughter-in-law's sister, husband and new baby and me. Merry Christmas to all and I hope everybody is well and has a great 2025!
