Does it dry up in mid summer and go dormant? If so it may have some type of blight and getting rid of it may be the best option. At our last house there were two full grown apple trees when we moved in, they would set fruit in the spring, and by midsummer they would dry out and look dead then...

@baymule, I really love that mud dress, she may have a future in fashion. Also her skin is probably perfectly exfoliated, people pay big bucks to get covered in mud.
