Gas is $4 a gallon here now.
I picked up some extra soap, seeds and fabric today.
Considering the price of food and the chaos going on I’m considering growing a bigger garden than I was planning this year. I don’t want to do the extra work again this year but I may end up doing it anyway. If...
Unfortunately we’ve got rats and the trash cans don’t keep out the humidity either. It’s so humid here in summer that any feed that we keep for more than about a month has to be in airtight containers.
I saw a video this morning that reminded me of our old cat. She was medium sized fluffy white cat. She LOVED to ride in the car. Well she develop a habit of sneaking in the ups truck to go for a drive. It was common site to see the ups truck pull out of the driveway and go a few hundred feet...
Bacon and Cereal this morning (yes great healthy breakfast :hide)
I had to go to the other big town I don’t normally visit yesterday and found a great used book store. I was good! I only bought two books. (The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and A Tale of Two Cities) Now the only problem is I’ve...
No earthquakes here but I always have an emergency bag packed. It usually has everything I need for about 3 days packed aside from the things I keep on my person like phone and wallet.
It’s been sunny and hot here all week. It was 80f yesterday It’s supposed to stay this warm through Monday when we’re supposed to have a line of storms come through.
I got beets, carrots, radishes and snow peas planted today. The sugar snaps will have to wait for the weekend when I can put up a trellis for them and the lettuce is waiting for me to locate the any poison since that pot is infested.
All the seedlings are up except for one of the bell peppers. I put them outside for the first time today since it’s warm. I’m hoping to get the lettuce and similar things in pots this afternoon.
I’m not really a fan of it either. Like you said there’s just something about the taste and texture that I just don’t like. I will say that there is a big difference between good and okay angel food cake. The okay stuff tends to have an odd sour almost chemical taste to it. I’ve gotten to point...
It’s far too muddy to work in the garden this week but I did check on the onions and they are starting to sprout. Nothing from the potatoes but it’s barely been a week. I’m praying they don’t rot after all this rain.
It’s officially allergy season again here. Ive felt like crap on and off all...
I meant the thread lol! But I think I found it. https://www.theeasygarden.com/threads/what-is-the-song-or-poem-weighs-up-how-you-feel-today.23744/page-26
We ended up getting a total of about 5 inches last week. There were a couple days of minor flooding and one of the bridges near the house will be closed for until at least Wednesday. It’s sunny and about 60f today though. No ideA if the potatoes and onions will survive all the rain though.
