It’s supposed to stay mostly dry this afternoon but the rain is supposed to be back again Friday. I Haare no idea how much rain we’ve gotten this month but every has been permanently soggy.
We cook two different types of chili. The first is a pretty normal one.
1 packet of Frenchs Chilio mix
2 cans of dark red kidney beans
1 can tomatoes
1 pound ground beef.
The other one which is my favorite is a crockpot white chicken chili it uses northern beans instead of kidney beans...
Also trash bags. Moms 12 pound yorkie cross always bites holes in the bottom when someone’s taking the trash out. Last night he took a chunk out of a bag of used kitty litter:somad
The time change is still throwing me off a bit. I have a hard time waking up when it’s still dark out. The inside chores are done and I’m drinking my coffee and reading. I’ll go let the chickens out in a few minutes.
Yesterday when I got back from town it was a sunny 72F. This morning there’s an inch of snow on the ground. Needless to say nothing will happening in the garden today.

In my...
I’ve tried growing eggplant about 3 years in a row now but every single year I lose them to flea beetles. Is there anything I can do other than keeping them under high tunnels all summer? Last year the flea beetles were so bad that the plants were completely destroyed in less than 48 hours after...
I’m sure you already know that a lot of authors back in those days had there works published in serials in magazines or newspapers. So for original readers it would have been somewhat like following a tv show or radio program is for us know. Some of these end up being pretty dense once they were...
