    Apricot blooms!

    Thanks Ridgeback ;) Its ok, that's part of gardening I'm sure. That is a Manchurian Apricot tree that i have, I'm looking at planting some better varieties. Maybe find me an apricot that blooms much later to help avoid the frost, that would be great! :)

    :celebrate This morning today I planted Snow Peas, Buttercrunch Lettuce, Spinach, and Broccoli Raab. Tomorrow looks like it will rain, good weather for those seeds to germinate well.

    Thanks guys! ;) I see birds pick even at the blooms every now and again. I hanged a plastic shopping bag on the top of the tree, this way when the wind blows the bag will scare the birds away. If I do end up getting some apricots develop I'm going to cover the tree with netting to keep the...

    Soil its more than dirt

    I use Rock Phosphate in my garden for building the soil quality. It helps feed the soil micro organisms which creates fertile soil. It does however need to be applied early in the season as it breaks down very slowly.

    Apricot blooms!
