I could put them in a room next to the living room. One wall is mostly window, it faces east. Plus heat would be available. And there are lights there, florescent, will that work?

Probably not. Low on funds. :( I have lots of potting soil, and fertilizer. I could afford seeds, but grow lights and hydroponics are a bit out of my budget for now. I recently lost my job.

I know what you mean! I see things all the time and think "I could make that myself .....for a lot less! " and sometimes when I go shopping, I look at the price of something, figure in my coupon, and think no I can get a better deal. Sometimes I do, other times I do without.

So for baked goods I entered carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, blueberry muffins, buttermilk pie, and peanut brittle. Under farm goods I entered brown eggs and my green eggs (other) . I let a friend enter my blue eggs. Under horticulture, I entered a knockout rose, my philadendron (sp?)...

Decided to do a buttermilk pie as well.
