Love the surprise volunteers! Those snapdragons are gorgeous, and it's amazing they showed up in a spot where you didn't plant them. The mystery of the garden, right? And wow, that's quite a story about the deep red snaps volunteering in the old flower garden years later.
Bottle gourds and mini pumpkins are so cute. And yay for dahlias and asters on the way! August can be a slow month, but it's nice to have something to look forward to. Enjoy the fruits of your labor
Ashamed a bit, but been kind of lazy in the last month. Need to address that and correct myself.
But one thing that I did was think about changing the furniture. Thinking of rattan. Anyone with experience in it? I mean something like this set.
Love the sound of your simplified garden plans! That whisky barrel planter with cosmos is stunning, and I'm glad you're keeping it. Your self-sustaining island of rugosa roses and rudbeckia laciniata is amazing too - the pollinators must love it. Good for you for tackling that air conditioner...
Thanks for the clarification! So it seems like the 1015 onion can be planted in the fall from seeds (around 10/15) and in the spring from onion starts. I'll keep that in mind for my zone 7a garden.
Wow, amazing tomato harvest! I'm impressed by the variety of short-season tomatoes you've tried. The photos look great, especially the 'Zuckerstraube' and '0-33' varieties.
