Oh mylanta! I'll be sure to tell the kiddos should we see it again. That's the first sighting of it ever.... And it did not squash! Believe me I tried! I figured the brightly colored red meant stay away. So the pic was taken as safely as possible. Thank you for the warning!
:lol:no. I have never seen a bug like that so was frantically trying to get a good pic without getting too close. That thing was moving right along! The other was a pot of homemade spaghetti sauce with fresh herbs from my plants. Don't know why it put two of each in there....
Not sure. I'll check in a while. Just hadn't seen it before so was wondering...... I like to know what's what so I know if I should encourage or eradicate based on if my animals can eat it.
Wow. That was a mouthful. Lol
So wish I had a pic of my mint plant. No clue what kind it is but it's beginning to flower and they almost look like lavender..... Any ideas? So for chamomile it's the flowers. For mint the leaves. Sassafras the roots.... I need to be journaling all this!
Haha! Our horse is an 18 year old "sorrel/chestnut" mare. She rolls around and it just blends in except for her mane. It's flax colored and looks reddish blonde.
We've put the goats in the garden for now. Trying to encourage my doe to eat some. This heat has her sickish so we are on the way to...

I'll definitely check them out. Ours is red clay dirt. When dry it's super tough when wet it stains EvERYTHING red. Joy! I grew up with dark sandy soil just inland from the coast. This red clay dirt is taking me for a spin for sure.

Awesome. I'm going to start tearing up dead cucumbers and other done things this coming week. Cardboard then poop or poop then cardboard? Trying to figure out if I want to do a winter garden or let it simmer in poop for the spring.... I feel like such a rookie..... Oh wait, I am!
I know tell me about it!!! We HAD one. Didn't like it..... It was electric. We've focused so much on our hobby farm..... I DO have great canning supplies! The hubbs springed for an All American pressure canner and his grandma passed down her water bath pot and supplies to me..... And I have a...
Im learning quite a bit from following through your process! Going to start collecting cardboard! Do you think horse poo would do good too? Or too much grass seed in it?
We do have some genuine Italian non-chain places around here. At least 2 that I know of that are ran almost explicitly by the family that owns them. Now THEY have some fantastic food! But y'all are right about chains..... I typically cook at home but we don't have a smoker so we normally go for...
