In the strange but true department, a woman in Sweden lost her ring 16 years ago but found it again as she was pulling the last of her carrots. A carrot was wearing it. I presume that was a ladyfinger carrot?

heh, i saw that story about and hour ago and figured it would already be posted on here! guess i was right! it's good she found her ring! my MIL lost her ring years ago somewhere in their back yard while gardening. if we decide to keep their house i'm hoping i might eventually find it while gardening! it would be neat to have a story like this to tell!

I remember my grandfather cutting down a tree that had a crows nest in it. Inside a hollow in the tree we found all kinds of shiny stuff the crow had collected. Everything from marbles to costume jewelry and shiny pieces of broken glass and even some of my grandmothers missing clothespins. Unfortunately crows are a poor judge of value so there was nothing worthwhile in there but it was fun seeing what a crow thought was pretty.
