Southern Gardener
Deeply Rooted
Hello my friends! I'm back and thought I'd share some pictures of my garden this year. Things have slowed down for me a bit so I'll be showing up more often. My spring garden is done for the season, except for my peppers and okra since they love this stinkin' heat here in the south!
All told, I had a pretty good garden this year - I did get squash bugs on my squash, but managed to get a pretty good amount. The number ONE tomato in my garden this year was the San Marzano - wow! I'll be planting them again next year. As for the Pink Oxheart, I won't, as they were terrible and did not do well at all. Another great one was the heirloom Riesentraube - wonderful, sweet little tomato and very abundant! I'm looking forward to my fall garden and cooler temps!
