Yes, it is normal for Piękny Jaś to have more than one stem. Other runner beans also grow this way. Often two stems grew from the seed.

Yes, I love it! Learned SO MUCH on here since January.learn something new every day!
The only time I've observed this in runner beans was when the first sprout was damaged somehow. All of my Piekny Jas seedlings this year formed a single shoot.@Artorius Is it common for Piekny Jas to have so many stems coming up like this from one plant? When I grew Sadie's Horse Bean last year I don't think I paid much attention to the growth habit in this way. Also, some of the plants have 2 twining growth tips instead of one. I wonder if the heat wave we had burned the tips a little, and that doubled the growth tips? I noticed on a few plants some of the growth tips had browned and dried up.
I checked all my other plants this afternoon, only one of them had those multiple stems. I didn't observe it suffer any damage...but it does also have two twining growth tips, which is a sign it either got pruned, or did get damaged. I wonder if it was the hot spells we've had. Some of the tips looked burned. The only time I've observed this in runner beans was when the first sprout was damaged somehow. All of my Piekny Jas seedlings this year formed a single shoot.
That is a good-looking bed @Bluejay77 , I can appreciate the amount of work that went into it. How many different plots to you have?Arrived at my Pleasant Valley offsite this morning at 7:30 and finished at 5 minutes before 6 this afternoon. For those of you on the 24 hour clock that would be I believe 7:30 and 17:55. Planted one of my 960 square feet (89.1869 square meters). 48 varities of bush beans. 16 Rows 24 feet long (7.315 meters) and watered it with a lawn sprinkler for 3 hours. Gave it a good soaking.

I guess I would have to say I have three different areas where I grow beans. This deer fenced in area has the two 960 square foot raised beds about 9.5 miles from my house. Then there is the one large plot 3 miles from house with the pole beans that is 2,214 square feet. Then I have about a 242 square foot bed in my backyard and the 160 square foot flowerbed on the south side of my house. There is a 46 square foot flowerbed in the back of my house that I'm growing tomatoes in this year and I also have in my backyard a smaller 150 square foot bed that I have tomatoes in this year too. That is a good-looking bed @Bluejay77 , I can appreciate the amount of work that went into it.
