It was in the contract because various aged documents showed it as 12acre, 12.4 acre, and 12.891acre. I agree it ended up a non-issue adjustment. The biggest issue is this lady is noncommunitive, stubborn, and ill informed.

Not sure if I posted about her:
- insisting any gift MUST be for downpayment
- insisting on using 23xx vs 23yy assigned by 911 addressing service
- insisting County Road XXXC must be a private road and refusing to forward statement from County Commissioner to underwriter where he claims road

I am sending a HUGE nasty gram to her boss once we are closed!!!

So sorry you are having these problems. Unfortunately it seems to be normal in buying a house or property. While your life hangs in the balance, these underwriters screw around on minutiae, details that make no difference and anything else they can do to help things blow up in your face.

Our place was a HUD repo, worst experience ever. I put the whole thing here, go back to September of 2014 and trace our misery. If anything could go wrong, it did. Have a good laugh on me, it might make you feel better.

@baymule This is NOWHERE as bad as what you dealt with and I know it. I'm just trying get this land note done while handling a major project at work. Husband is in charge of utilities for new house and that loan issues. I do medical stuff and need to get kids set up with new doctor, school vaccines, eye glasses update, and school registration.

Where is my non-evil clone?!

Your timeline has nothing to do with the underwriter. And they don't care either. There ought to be a way to complain loudly now, without the underwriter getting back at you by dragging even slower. Complaining after closing just doesn't have the same satisfaction. I suggest your evil twin find her and poke her behind with a cattle prod.
