@BeanieQueen
I bought my seeds here. I like to support small initiatives like this.

This site also has recipes for bean dishes.
Thank you! Nice homepage.. and interesting.. but one is really lost without a translator.
I am really tempted now to order something (@Triffid knew it already)

I thought so too ☺️ wonder if its etymology is the same as for insect pupae

In Polish, "pupa" is a delicate term for the part of the body on which we sit :)

Languages are fun. Polish and Czech are similar to each other, theoretically we can understand each other, but attention is needed because some words pronounced the same have the opposite or completely different meaning. This can lead to disaster, especially in male-female relationships.
For example, the Polish word szukać (to look for) and the Czech šukat (to f**k). So if a Pole says to a Czech girl szukam cię wszędzie (I'm looking for you everywhere) he can get hit hard because she will understand... you know what. It's similar when he tells a Czech girl pięknie pachniesz (you smell nice). In Czech páchnout means to stink. Sometimes diplomacy is a difficult task :)
Besides, the Czech language works like a laughing gas on Poles. I will never forget when we once watched "The Empire Strikes Back" with Czech dubbing at a party. We almost died laughing. I don't know, maybe it's a matter of accent, maybe word endings. Czechs also find Polish funny.

I don't normally get much beans off the in-store seed racks because the selection is always so limited, and it seems to be the exact same thing every single year. However, I found a couple gems this week. Berton Seeds imports all its seeds from Italy, and I have found their beans to be very good, when I've grown them. So I decided to get all they have which I haven't tried. The yellow wax is Carson, that's new for me. I thought Kitchen King and Big Kahuna were rather creative names from Burpee this year so I got some of those too. 😊
