I counted 40 watermelons today and there are still tons of little flowers. I am hoping for over 80 of them. I cant believe how well they are doing. I have two patches. The patch that gets more sunlight is doing better than the one that only gets about 6 hours of sunlight a day but even it is doing good. :thumbsup

I have not made watermelon wine yet. This will be my first attempt when these melons mature. Watermelon wine is supposed to be one of the toughest to make because watermelon must (must=fruit juice being used to make the wine) tends to spoil quickly. I have purchased a yeast that is supposed to work well with lower tempatures and I will report how that works. Here is the website that I am going to use a the model for my watermelon wine. The site belongs to Jack Keller. He goes into detail about the melon wine Jack Keller's Watermelon Wine Recipes <-----Klick

My ducks ate their leaves and then they died. It has gotten a bit too hot to plant anything now. I will have to wait till August and hopefully get a summer crop.
