Excellent comparison of hunter/gatherer vs agriculture here...It's interesting that when the skeletons of Hunter/gatherers are compared to farming societies in the same geographical areas the hunter/gatherers are invariably found to be larger, stronger and in better physical health than their farming neighbors.
The ones that survive, that is. Stands to reason that survival of the fittest extends to the human animal as well. No great surprise.wifezilla said:But the skeletal remains of hunter-gatherers show them to be much healthier than agriculturalists. Hunter-gatherers had better bones, had no signs of iron-deficiency anemia, no signs of . , few (if any) dental cavities, fewer signs of arthritis and were in general larger and more robust than their agriculture-following contemporaries"

I have AlWAYS been a reader and "researcher". From the time that I was old enough to read (now, don't laugh), I would spend HOURS sitting "on the throne", going through one of our World Book Encyclopedias. So, it's no wonder that that I log "bookoo" frequent flyer miles on World Wide Internet Airlines in the search for knowledge. If we had had the internet in the 50's and early 60's........I, probably, would never have come out of the bathroom.ducks4you said:davaroo said:And no beer. I shudder to think....
boggybranch, you and I should start a reading club--this stuff is just down my alley--I'm the ONLY one in my family of readers to prefer non-fiction, analytical, thought-pondering, scientific...stuff!! :bee
