This is a fun little video that I thought you may enjoy. Lovely countryside and wonderful people.

Altho' the video is from last fall, the program has had new press recently. The police station even had potatoes growing out front this year! One of the officers said that harvesters were showing up and "stealing" the spuds right out from under the coppers' noses! But, all that is perfectly okay :p.

I think it deserves a Felicity Award :):

Such a great idea- and it looks like it was very successful! If I am buried in a grave, I certainly hope someone plants a garden there! I love that idea...

Apparently it was successful, Lesa!

There were more of these community efforts this year beyond "Tod'." :).

I believe that some were outside the UK so the idea has legs!

There is a small community garden here in Henryetta. It has been here for 2 full years, when I first saw it go in I was skeptical b/c this is a rural community where a lot of people garden in their back yards, but it has grown each year.

In the flowerbeds in front of the small town library I visit, there are vegetables mixed in with the flowers, and there is often a basket of produce on the desk with a "Free" sign on it. It makes me smile every time. -Wendy
