I would say add it to the tumbler. I think it has to get hot to break down. I have found it in the compost pile that does not get turned a year later looking like pellets. I have buried it in the garden and next spring it is brown down, but if on top of the ground I still see little round pellets. DH used to turn the piles so it broke down good then.

I was hoping it would work in the tumbler I'd prefer to put it in that.
