I can't imagine that brushing the leaves of a violet is good for it. I would imagine that it would damage the surface of the leaf????

My African's leaves are shriveling up!!!!! It seems to keep on happening to the small ones.... Is it too bright? I moved it to a little bit of a darker spot, but not too much. Is it too moist or not moist enough? I keep it kinda wet, but not too much. I water it from below, the roots seem to slurp it up and I don't run the chance of getting water on the leaf. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a disease?

I'm sorry to say, I've never had one of those mini's survive very long.... They sure are cute, though. Good luck!

I'm not sure why you are having that problem, but I can tell you that my violets are in very bright light in my kitchen window and I don't water them too often. They do better when I let them dry out a bit before watering again. Maybe that will help?
