Looking good. I think Dogwood should grow very well where you are.

Love it! Google some of the 'threats' to dogwoods. They can be prevented with proper care. Of course, my Red Cherokee dogwood doesn't get any special treatment and looks it.

MontyJ planted two dogwood trees for me last year. Of course the stinking cicada's got to them even though we tried to protect them, but they lived. My white one only put on one flower this year. My pink one bloomed like mad.

@Nyboy , I have a pink flowering Dogwood it puts on a good show every year. I also bought a Kousa Dogwood at a plant sale, don't know what I was thinking as I didn't have room for it, my only excuse is my eyes glaze over whenever I go to a plant sale, all rationality seems to go out the window. Happy to say it's alive and thriving in one of our son's garden.

LOL Midnight I know the glazed over eyes well. Dogwood grow wild here all over that what was so frustrating, Would have love a pink planted many. I have about 6 redbubs love them too. I did plant a sour cherry early this spring fingers crossed
