I am the same way, I like nothing on kitchen counter. The only thing on mine is my mother's Kitchen aid which I never use but reminds me of her.

I generate clutter. Then my husbands cleans the kitchen for me and makes tidy little piles, which makes more clutter. Having Thanksgiving dinner here is forcing me to deal with the clutter. I have a smaller kitchen and less cabinets than I used to. Even after getting rid if lots of stuff when we moved, I still don't have room.

I really don't know what to do with the darn things. 4 of anything isn't enough to make much of a showing. Let's see.....a table of 6, 2 lucky people won't have ugly ceramic chicken napkin rings...... that would start a fight with the other 4 people who DON'T WANT ugly ceramic chicken napkin rings.
