We decided a few months ago we wanted to plant all heirloom seeds in our garden this year. After being bombarded w/ seed catolog in the mail, I searched each one and compared all the pricing. We decided to go with Pinetree Garden Seeds.

Their pricing is very low and probably 75% of the vegtables are heirlooms. I had a few packs that were as low as $.95 each. We ordered last Sunday night and they arrived on Wednesday. We bought 23 packs of seeds which included beans, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, radishes, carrots, some fingerlength seed potatoes, well your get the idea. They have a great selection for a complete garden.

Can't wait to ge them started!

Hope you enjoy browsing their website.

I've ordered from Pinetree Garden Seeds in the past and was very pleased with everything. They have a lot of hierloom seeds from different parts of the world which is very cool.

I'm sure you'll be satisfied with Pinetree ;)

I like Pinetree.
I stumbled upon some comments from some unsatisfied customers from last year and was surprised. I guess they had some problems.
I have bought seeds from them every year for ten years and have not had a problem, including last year. I wish them a better year and will send my order soon.

They have added more flower selections! ... :happy_flower ...:ya

It was good to see... a company openly admitting to their problems and explaining to customers (see inside the front cover of their catalog)

Most complaints were of delayed delivery and some out of stock items, trouble reaching customer service.
Late arrival of orders meant not enough time to reorder from other companies added to customer frustration.
I did however notice that many of these folks placed their orders in late Feb. or March... not good if you want to be sure to have your seeds started early. Companies can get backed up, especially when spring bulbs, etc have to be shipped also.
So far, this year the reviews look positive!:happy_flower

When I see reviews and complaints I always take into consideration that people are sometimes more quick to complain about a company or product than they are to commend good service.

I have always had excellent seed germination rates from Pinetree seeds and success with all plants I grew from their seed!
I have not ordered any of their Spring items... bulbs, tubers, plants, etc.
I have been very satisfied, so even if I had a problem, this is one company I would give a second chance! ...:)

As long as I have good germination and everything turns out to be what it is supposed to be, I will be very pleased with Pinetree. I was totally surprised when my order was delivered only a few days after ordering.

I can't wait to taste some of these heirloom veggies. Next thing I need to research is keeping them true so I can start saving seeds from year to year.

Thanks for your input!

Pinetree has a really interesting variety of plants, etc. I was surprised to find 1/2 a dozen mushroom varieties, the assortment of gardening books, plants to dye with, and their assorment of spices and teas. Thanks for the link--I've bookmarked it, and I'm sure that I'll be ordering from them in 2010.

Heirlooms rule! :p Just ordered my Pinetree catalog, didn't know they existed. I am trying to go all heirlooms, over half my garden was heirloom last year. Now if I could just get myself to be displined to save seeds. I appluad your efforts to go with heirlooms, I think it is great to grow the past.

I got my seeds today from the Baker Creek Heirloom Seed company today. I ordered them on 12-24-2009 in the middle after noon. The package was well packaged. There was one free packet of lettuce. All and all I am happy with the service I have gotton from them.

I have order from Baker before and got free lettuce and free basil. I really do love their service. They even wrote thank you in pen on my invoice. Love them!
