I would imagine that they are also better about passing down their gardening knowledge to their children...(no need for a master gardener class there!) My parents had a huge garden when I was very young, got divorced and gave it up, and never told me squat about how to grow things. I had to find everything out myself, by research and the hard way!
This is me and my brother and sister standing in my parent's garden... I think I was maybe 5. I most remember the heads of broccoli my dad grew, bigger than a soccer ball. I hated broccoli back then!
Journey - That is awesome! My grandfather had a garden like that, but I don't remember paying much attention when I was a kid. Now he's gone, and I would love to be able to go to him for gardening advice.
