Those are all good things that you are doing in order to get ready. There is a technique for the rope climbs. I've been doing Crossfit for 8 years now and only about 1 in 5 of us can do them. I'm one of them. ;) Keep training for it. It will be fun. I did my Spartan race with a Groupon. The Groupon people had a later starting time. I think it was after 12:00.

Mary

So, I just showed DS your profile picture and read to him what you did and said you are the same age as me and he said WOW. LOL.

Nope. They're not connected to the bank itself apparently, so they can only send by check. x.x

they're living in the age of cuneform clay tablets! everyone who can get to a computer can send bill pay transactions for free from most credit unions and banks...

The roof is almost done. They've accidentally dropped some roofing on the garden, but honestly...sacrifices must be made for the greater good.

In other growing news, my son made me this for Mother's day:

It touches my heart for so many different reasons.

A. He got me something.
B. He is a gardener at heart
C. He knows I'm a gardener at heart

What a great kid <3 <3 <3

The roof is done on our house, the electrical is mostly done. Not too impressed with the electrical company as they have been less than honest. (Yep. We're all ready for the inspection! *half finished with everything*)

Lights are in. Now I just need walls, floors, and a kitchen.

Walls are up, just floors and kitchen now.

We had a bit of a hard time this week with the chickens. Someone left the gate open and a neighbor dog got in through the open gate and killed 5/10 of the big chickens. Wounded another seriously.

The owner of the dog handled it very well. He is a very good man.

I sprayed some "Deer repellent" around my garden after noticing a few nibbles on my cherry tree. Hopefully this discourages them.
