I don't think I could bare to put perfectly good beans in the composter! I'll just go around to the neighbors and see who hasn't had beans in a while. I weighed this picking. 8.6 pounds!

They contain lectins when raw though, and I don’t really want to cook for the chickens

i don't think green beans don't have much of that... the only problems i know of with beans are if you don't cook the dry beans well enough and even then it is only certain ones that are worse than others. properly cooked beans should be ok unless there are other issues involved.

I'll just fence it off and toss a few chickens in there. I bet they'd love it, and maybe they can do a little pest control while they're in there.
