Well, the cloth will have to wait for another day. My car broke down while I was taking the kids to swim lessons, right in the middle of a 4 lane road! Another lady helped me and the two of us were able to push it into a parking lot safely. Luckily my husband came to help me right away, and we have roadside assistance, but prognosis on the car is not good.

I'm afraid we'd have to replace the entire transmission, the torque converter, and a bunch of other things to fix it. We have two other cars so I'm just going to sell this one for parts if I can.

"a bunch of other things" sounds like a mechanic trying to rake you over the coals. It might be worthwhile to check a salvage yard & just change the entire transmission. Cars usually end up in salvage for reasons other than transmissions, so the odds of finding one are fairly good.

It was beautiful in the garden today! My daughter, who has not been getting her required one hour of outdoor time due to the supremely cold weather, went out as soon as the frost left the grass and did not come in until sundown. I suppose she is making sure she stocks up on outdoor time before the mercurial spring weather takes a turn.
She played in her bouncy castle, dug in her sandbox, splashed in a small pool of water, and then rotated back to the bouncy castle nearly the whole day.
Since I know the second the weather is warm those little cabbage moths will be flying about, I put the bug cover on my plants. It's so light, I believe the plants will be fine with moisture and light, but moths will not be able to lay their eggs on my plants.
Those are my bok choi under cover. The mysterious creature that nibbled on a select few cabbage leaves seems to have gone. There's been no new additional chew marks the last two days, and examining under, around, on top of the leaves by day and by night revealed nothing.
Hopefully they're truly gone, and this mesh keeps everything else OUT.

My Sebright eggs came today--but apparently I made a mistake when ordering. I got Buff Orpington eggs. I'll hatch them out anyway and sell them along with the silkie chicks currently marinating in my brooder. My husband said I could ask our local hay market to order me some. He's so good to me.
