Actually, if they are good to start they should last a long time in a sealed bag.

You can renew them by heating in an low oven (275F) so if you get those packets from @ninnymary , you should bake them to drive off any moisture before use.

Like everything else you can buy silica gel online. There is a type that changes color when it needs to be redried in the oven.
