Anybody grow pepperoncinis?

Habaneros?

See, I can't grow Habaneros. They just can't even really get started. The fruit never fills out on the plants.

Too much environmental warmth (& maybe evenness of night and day temperatures) required for those things, I guess.

the past couple years here has either been hit or miss with the habaneros. if i grow them on the deck that is 36' long they get all the sun and heat they will ever need to produce a good crop. when i've planted them in the ground they will still produce peppers but they usually won't turn orange unless we've had a nice warm summer for them. last year was a dud of a season and i wish i had done more on the deck. :/

One of my friend had the pepperoncini plant. I have never ever grown them but my mother had made pickles from it. The pepperoncini is really tasty and too good to eat.
