YES, we watched Victory Garden for many years.

I didn't have a teevee during part of that time but would watch it when visiting Mom & Dad.

I was rather taken with the first 3 hosts ... including Roger Swain ... altho' he looked like anything but an on-air personality .

Turned out that he had important credentials -- PhD in Horticulture.

Loved, loved, loved James Underwood Crockett! None of the other hosts could hold a candle to his work on The Victory Garden, in my opinion.

I agree Red Crockette made the victory garden. It was one of the few shows my father and I would watch together.
