Thanks @thistlebloom when I bought the house there was a very cool Red Japanese moon bridge there. It was all rotted and had to be removed. Cinder block foundation was good , I layed 2 4 by 4 across cut 2by4s for across then screwed 2 screws in each side ( I know now I should used bigger then 2by4). Half way I started running low on screws, so I put one in each end. My Friend Kristine stopped by the house one day. There is a telephone pole next to bridge, a work crew was working om bridge. She saw a group of men with jobs, and went over to checked out if any where date material. She went to the middle of the bridge and went over to the side to peer into water looking for fish. Her weight on side, pulled the screws out of other side making like a see saw pitching her into the water. She landed on on log underwater, one of the branches giving her a deep puncture. One of the phone repairman jumped in to help her ( he was married). Deep puncture and stagnate water made very bad infection, she spend 3 days in hospital on IV antibiotics . My homeowner insurance covered it.
