Arugula?

Hey,
i'm trying to pick a type of argula to grow . Is their any difference from the Wild Argula vs the Common or culitivated type?

My understanding is that the wild variety (sylvetta) is perennial to zone 4. The domestic types are not. You can cut the domestic varieties multiple times, though, before it goes to seed. I'm a new grower of arugula but quickly learning to enjoy this green, especially since it is SO cold hardy, a great quality here in WI :)

yeah i think the wild type has a more sharp intense flavor than the culitivated, i think i may try both types one in spring the other for fall harvest.

According to this months Organic Gardening the garden type is spicier than the wild...

We have a whole row of it planted for the first time ourselves. I really dont know how it is going to taste but my Mother likes it. Its for her really. I am sure I will like it, I like all vegatables so far.

My hubby and I decided we are not big arugala fans. We'll have more butter head/buttercrunch and romaine this year.
