I would like to attempt my hand at asparagus growing. I have a small 2 x 4 raised bed I would like to put them in. Where can I order a small number of asparagus roots? Does any one have 2 or 3 hanging around? Thanks, Melissa

I don't have any that aren't planted- but I got mine at Tractor Supply. Have also seen them at the box stores...You will love growing asparagus. Good luck!

I checked Wal-Mart, TSC and Lowes. They do not have Asparagus. I think I missed the planting time down south. Every internet search gives me a choice of 8 or more. I clicked on the 8 set one and they were sold out. Oh well, may be next year.

I know Gurney's and Burgess both sell them through their catalog but I'm not sure when they ship them out. You probably won't be able to get them in until Fall at the earliest or possibly spring.
I did get a veggie seed mix from Burgess and they have done great and a great value. They had a special for a veggie variety that had 12 of your basic garden veggies: corn, pickle cukes, large tomatoes, beans, lettuce, radishes etc. for only about $5 (give or take a few cents)
They have several varrieties of asparagus.
