When do you stop picking it? I've always quit early but now that the hills are established, how long can I keep on picking it?

They get thin, that's when I'd stop - if I had any to pick :/ Still waiting - I'm glad you're eating! :)

as long as possible... I usually have a problem keeping them harvested and they will go fernny on me before I am ready... My bed is JUST started to sprout...I saw 3 spears poking up yesterday...

Wife beat me to them.............she boils them!!!!!!!!!

Daughter and I like them fried. Maybe not as healthy but oh so good.

You really need to take a stalk right out of the ground and eat it - I had never known about this until last summer - it is delish!

As for cooking it, I steam it, for a very short time. I hate mushy asparagus!
