Yes! I love all the light, and when I can, I like to get up at 4 and work outside. I call it the Sleep Deprivation Season. I can't go to bed when it's still light out without feeling like a 5 year old, so I stay up until it's for sure dark.

I call that insomnia. Not a morning person even though it is so beautiful out in the morning...

How long have you been at this latitude, Thistle'? I can sure go to sleep during daylight even tho' I've never been a nap person. I thought I might doze off at 8pm last night but did manage to stay awake another 90 minutes. I was nearly functional throughout ...

Cat', I am not a night person. I don't even see very well at night. Truth be known, I think that getting up early represents something productive. Yeah right. I would choose to be immobile for the first 90 minutes of my "day" if I can get away with it ... there's something about that number(?). I have a feeling it has increased with age ...

I am not a night person. I am a late morning to evening person. I babysit from 7-5:30 during the week. When they go home I garden until dark-nearly 9. Poor husband has gotten used to eating after that. If I could sleep through the night I would go to be early. But I push to stay up until 11-12. Otherwise I would wake up at 2. As it is I wake up at 4 and if you do the math that is not enough sleep. So I move to the couch watch the history and science channel with the volume down low, and pray to get a little more sleep in. Occasionally I sleep through to 7-what a miracle that is. Oh and I HATE infomercials they come on really loud and wake me up again.

@catjac1975 have you had your sleeplessness checked out? That really is not enough sleep for anyone. I used to wake up and not be able to go back to sleep or lay in bed for hours trying to get to sleep. The CPAP has really helped. I am guessing that you do not want to use sleeping pills. But there are other more natural remedies that might help... oh I do suppose you have already tried most of those. Here is hoping you sleep well tonight. :hugs

I'm usually asleep from 10 to 2:30.

If I can get back to sleep, I may sleep until 5:30. However, it is easier for me to move from the bed to the recliner. Ninety minutes there is absolutely all my legs can take.

I often don't fall asleep in the recliner.

I feel underslept. Is that a word? But it may just be because I once thought of myself as a "9 hour sleeper." Boy! Those were the days! Er, nights!

Yes I have done it all medically. I do get back to sleep after the first 4. I have learned to manage it. I just sleep in small doses after that. A glass of wine will get me a good night's sleep but I only do that on Fri. and Sat night. (Date night at home with the hubby) I tried the cpap which the Dr. thought I did not really need and it did not help, and I did not like it. My husband loves his. I love his too. No more freight train snoring! I took meds the last couple years that I taught. It put on 20 lbs and I am not a fan of drugs. As soon as I retired I stopped taking them, lost the weight. Now I just manage it. I nap if I have a bad night. It is amazing what a 20 minute cat nap can do for me.
