Do you know where that Hoodoo station is, Thistle'?

The Weather Service maintains it, I guess. wunderground shows it.

I think I told you the postmistress in Athol once told me that when she was a child, the folks out there called Chilco, Hoodoo. I can't figure it out because Hoodoo Mountain is between Athol and Standpoint.

Blacktail Mountain is also a mystery to me. I wonder how many hundreds of miles it is to the first blacktail deer.

No, I don't know where that station is, but we have driven the gravel road through Hoodoo Valley a lot of times. I wonder if that's the station that posts the forecast for Wunderground? My Accuweather page is supposedly based in Sagle.... They are always very far apart in forecast temperatures.

Maybe Blacktail was named after a roaming bear. :p
Kind of interesting how things get named and who is the original person that thought of it.

  • Cucumbers flat and fried. Pumpkins and winter squash, the same ...
  • Zucchini almost as bad ...
  • Beans burned across the top.
  • Peppers untouched. Tomatoes touched.
  • As was dahlias in one garden while they were wasted in the other.
Tomorrow, I will try to save what is left. Water lines and sprinklers stand ready.

I picked everything pickable and pulled everything out. Even with the frost cloth the tomatoes were toast, but I got enough fruit for another couple of batches of salsa.
