Scientists said that a solar storm that produces such a large aurora is very difficult to predict, hence the late notice, BUT, look to see the aurora tonight, May 10th, tomorrow, May 11th and Sunday, May 12th. Get away from city lights--my property IS away from city lights--and look between 10PM and 2AM.
SOOOOOOO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:weee:weee:weee

Yes, it can be seen in northern part of Europe till Switzerland, too. I will stay up a bit tonight. However, I read that a warning was announced as it might affect the communication and power supply.

I was woken up by snoring (not mine!) and so went outside to look. 12:45 a.m. Nuthin' to be seen. But in FB local groups, hundreds of photos.

One person said that its best to view thru a phone. Gosh - I didn't know that this morning when I got up.

Bright auroras last night. Not as bright as those in May; but to the camera, even more colorful.
