Today we are getting winds up to 45 mph, with possible severe thunderstorms and flash flooding once the storm reaches us. I went out to water some of the beds and had a hard time just walking out to the garden without getting blown over. Luckily none of my plants are tall enough to get badly damaged by the wind, but I have a feeling we'll be cleaning up a whole bunch of downed tree branches and other debris. I'm really hoping that no tornadoes form out of this system. It really is way too early in the year for this kind of weather.

Oh brother! I am so hoping this early beautiful weather is not going to turn out to be a real problem... Hold on to your hat- and stay safe!

Well it should be hitting me about Friday or Saturday Lesa, it takes about 4 to 5 days for a storm in TX to hit OH.

I'm getting that storm too. Was supposed to start raining earlier today, but they keep pushing back the time of rain arrival.
Sure is WINDY tho.... Had to put more water in the duck pond -- it was blowing away!

Yup, it's crazy windy. One of my chickens got blown off of her feet and rolled about 5 feet before she could get back up. Since she was fine I couldn't help but laugh.

The storm still hasn't hit. We're finally seeing flashes of lightning off to the west though, the rain should start soon.

Between 10 last night and 6 this morning we got 6 inches of rain, we also had some lightning strike close enough to shake the windows. The creek down the hill is running really high and the bridges are underwater. Luckily, there were no tornadoes in our area. It's still raining some, but I'll go check on the garden in a while to see if anything got washed away.
